TMI Warning
I'm weird.
Evidence:
1) I know about a quantum mechanics experiment named Schrödinger's cat, and if you do too it's because you are a physicist or you watch Big Bang Theory. I am the latter. The experiment essentially is a cat in a box with the potential for dying and while the box is closed, with no way of knowing the status of the cat, the cat is both alive and dead.
2) I related this experiment to my uterus this month. My last two cycles have been 37-38 days with no real PMS symptoms and yet negative pregnancy tests. So earlier this week I came to the conclusion I have Schrödinger's uterus. Not sure if life or death was waiting for me.
3) I found it hilarious the day after when I 'opened the box and the cat was dead.' Really I laughed....mostly because that result in that wording was a funny coincidence.
See, told you.
I'm weird.

Laughter is the best medicine
I heard a statistic the other day, that 'they' have been tracking this since at least the depression, which is how many minutes we spend a day laughing on average.
If I had to wager a guess, on average, I say I'd spend 15-30 minutes a day laughing, partly due to shows like Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother.
Partly because I watch video clips from The Skit Guys.
Partly because I have co-workers with a pretty good sense of humor.
Some of my best friends will quote BBT with me over and over, and we laugh at the show again as well as our rendition.
My family, especially my mom and my sisters keep me in stitches at every gathering.
But I'd say the biggest reason is because my husband is a riot. He tries to make me laugh a lot. We just have a sense of humor that is in sync so we'll just look at each other in a situation and laugh because we know we're thinking the same thing. We enjoy being silly and not taking ourselves too seriously. We also quote BBT and Skit Guys tirelessly (but we never get tired of it).
The average amount of laughter in homes during the Great Depression and World War II was about 15 min. Today, sadly, it is 2 minutes. Wow! Hard to imagine that many people live with so little laughter. Makes me feel incredibly blessed!

Truthful Tuesday
Christians are like rubber bands. We (our spiritual selves) get stretched. A lot! And then we shrink again. But if you notice, once a rubber band gets stretched significantly, it never goes back to it's exact old shape, it stays stretched out to a degree. And each time it is stretched it retains that stretched shape a little better. Just be sure it's God who's doing the stretching, He knows how far you can bend. Otherwise, you may just snap.

Laugh of the Day
Really, it was the laughs of every day out here, Wednesday through Friday, a couple times a day, that we were laughing until we were crying, splitting our guts, in stitches! I had seen a few of The Skit Guys video's before, the ones I saw were humorous but this was hilarious! Live the energy was awesome and they improved as well. This is one of the funniest skits, I don't know if I've ever laughed so hard in my life.

Laugh of the Day
So this actually happened Saturday so I'm posting it to Saturday :)
I was at a women's retreat this weekend, in a room with six other lovely ladies, new and dear friends. Upon waking up at 5:30 am Saturday morning, one of my roommates found herself hearing an orchestra of sound from all around the room, not all the same notes or vibrato, but all the same instruments. She later described it to us as symphonic.
The only downside was how bad the room stank! LOL
What ladies can get away with when no men are around :)

Laugh of the Day
It may be my lack of sleep, but watched this episode in a Girl's Night Big Bang Theory-a-thon and couldn't stop laughing! No....I just love this episode, in my right mind and all! :)
I'd love to jump in a ball pit, I loved the ball pit as a kid...and as an adult apparently.
My own lack of sleep didn't turn out so humourously. Definitely didn't start out humourously!
For those of you who didn't see on Facebook, Sean was bitten by our neighbor's dog on Wednesday after work. It is a bulldog/pit bull-ish looking thing, a rescue they got in November that only recently started acting like it was warming up to us, like their other big lovable dog who just begs to get attention from us. Sean decided he would let the dog smell him, stuck his hand over the fence and that's as far as he got cuz the dog lunged and bit his finger on his right hand (thank goodness he's left handed, although he's right handed at his computer at work).
The bleeding went down pretty fast but a few hours later there was an ugly bump that looked just nasty so we decided to go to the closest emergency room. We got their at 10:30 pm and didn't get into to a room until 5:20 am, and then the doctor wasn't done with his stitches until 6:10 am. Luckily he had his tetnus shot just in October, our doctor randomly asked us if we'd had updated shots, which we didn't know we needed, so we got them. The dog also had his shots, so with some stitches and antibiotics Sean's finger should be good as new soon, with a gnarly scar.

We called in sick and slept most of the day Thursday but then we had an appointment to have our main drain cleared, our water was backing up significantly, but our 5-7 pm appointment turned into finally calling in a different employee at 9:15 who only got to our place at 10:15 pm, but we didn't turn him away because we've been through this before, usually it's only about an hour, however the owners before us likely didn't have the roots cleared out recently and with our 3+ years here, he had to make 3 attempts to clean out the roots. So over 3 hours later he was done and we had 4.5 hours to sleep before we had to get up for work!
Fridays as usual we have a 7 am to 10:30 pm day away from home, then today I had Girl's Night, we'd planned for awhile now and there was no way I was missing out, but of course a Girl's Night never ends early, then take into account it was Daylight Savings and we lost an hour of sleep! I'm a bit of a zombie but that's ok, I'm going to go find me an all night ball pit! ;)

Oh if only I could be satisfied with this cleaning routine all the time, but alas I will just have to be ok with letting my sense of humor conquer my sense of organization today :)

Laugh of the Day
It's been about time for a good laugh again, it really does release some of the pent up tension and stress from the week, and since I can't sleep for many more hours laughter will have to be the medicine I need! Thanks Pam for sharing this one, Cake Wrecks is hilarious!! Here's my favorite.
"According to a recent survey,* "Pop-Pop" is the number one nickname for adorable grandfathers. (Awww.)
Guess what number two is?"
Happy Friday Everyone!

Laugh of the Day
Ok, so having an iPhone that is so wonderful yet just a little too smart for it's own good has one little frustrating feature. When typing messages, if the word I use isn't in it's 'spell check', or if my spelling error was just wrong enough not to register, it STILL thinks it should auto-correct and the most ridiculous words come out.
Like when I was making notes on a sermon, typed the word 'sceptor' instead of 'scepter' and it gave me 'specula'. Say what?!?
Well, someone sent me an email about other people's auto-correct mishaps and my goodness, I haven't laughed that hard since 'What?!? I have no arms!!!' Laughing that hard and lots of crunches, not a good combination.
Here are some good, clean fun ones, and a link to see more (warning, rated PG18+: some vulgar language not suitable for minors).

Laugh of the Day
Okay, my teacher cuz Pam has found the most hilarious children's book series Elephant & Piggie, and she shared this one with me (actually at Christmas time) but I was reminded of it recently so had to share the story that was so LOL it made me double over until my stomach hurt and I was crying!
I can't find photos of the rest but it gets more and more hilarious!
Elephant and Piggie feel they have to explain, "You don't have arms."
The snake yells, "WHAT!!! I DON'T HAVE ARMS!!!!"
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
Just kidding, he knows he doesn't have arms. But wants to try anyway. So they throw the ball at him. And hit him. And try throwing the ball again. And hit him again.....and again....and again.
So he doensn't want to play like that anymore. But Elephant and Piggie want to play with him, so they find another way.
They play catch WITH snake!
My gosh, that's the funniest book I've read, and one of my new favs, don't care it's meant for kids 1/3 my size and 1/5 my age!
I love the humor of what is not said. The snake's silence makes them give an answer.
And continues to make them explain further.

Laugh of the Day
In response to a solicitation for purchasing some death benefit payout to help with those costly funeral expenses, my adorable hubby says,
"Just throw me in the river and go buy yourself a nice dress instead."

Laughter is the best medicine
As I have begun to envision some future blog posts, I've realized I really want to incorporate a few things, more pictures, more of my daily life, more insights I get from God, and more laughter.
Why laughter?
To remind me not to take life so seriously.
To give me that dose of medicine that uplifts the heart and lightens burdens.
To find joy always.
And so I am going to have more frequent Laugh of the Day entries. I want to make laughter a more frequent part of my life, and share the smiles and joy with you as well :)
There were SO many laughs throughout the holidays, especially with my family and the games we play. I recommend The Game of Things, that one was pretty hilarious.....very LOL. But those laughs are kinda hard to share :) So, something funny I can share, well the most surprisingly LOL was actually Dispicable Me. Our favorite LOL moment was the best line and we can't stop quoting it!

Laugh of the Day
I heard this story on CHVN and just couldn't help myself from LAUGHING OUT LOUD!
A couple getting married wanted a Bible verse written on their wedding cake that meant a lot to them. It was 1 John 4:18, "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear." A nice sentiment.
Unfortunately, the cake makers were not careful with the order form and eventually the verse reference was smudged so much the 1 (as in first) was gone and so the verse written on the cake was instead John 4:18, which goes a little something like this, " The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true."
OH MY GOSH!
